Virtual mentorship for adoptees — by adoptees.
The Adoptee Mentoring Society (AMS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by adoptees, for adoptees. We envision a world where every adopted person's right to their identity, culture and biological kin is unconditionally upheld.

Grounded in Research. Guided by Lived Experience.
The data is striking: adoptees are four times more likely to attempt suicide than their non-adopted peers, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. Research consistently shows that separation from one’s original mother—even in infancy—can leave lasting effects on trust, attachment, and identity. In response, we’ve built a multidisciplinary team of researchers to study and strengthen our intervention model, ensuring that our mentorship approach remains evidence-driven and responsive to the unique needs of adoptees.
