Virtual mentorship for adoptees — by adoptees.
The Adoptee Mentoring Society (AMS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by adoptees, for adoptees. We exist to validate, affirm, and center adopted people through compassionate, virtual, research-informed mentorship from those with lived adoptee experience.
The Adoptee Lounge is a virtual space where adoptees can connect and build community with one another. We offer dedicated groups for youth, young adults, and adults.
Adults (23 and up) - $10/session
Youth & Young Adults (12-22) - $35
1:1 Mentorship
One-on-one virtual mentorship offers adoptees (ages 12 and up) a space to explore their adoption story with a trained mentor.
Adoptees (ages 12 and up) - $60/session
The Issue
Of the 7 million adoptees worldwide, many grow up without adoptee-competent support or knowing others who share their lived experience—leaving them isolated, unseen, and making it difficult to form healthy connections to self and community. Adopted people are also four times more likely to experience suicidality than their non-adopted peers.*
