The AMS Ambassador Program is a unique leadership opportunity for adoptees passionate about fostering a supportive and thriving global community for adoptees. AMS Ambassadors serve as key representatives, working to connect, engage, and grow the AMS community both online and in their local communities. Be an adoptee: This program is open to individuals who were adopted, ages 25 and older.
Engagement with AMS Services: Applicants have attended at least four Lounges and/or two 1:1 mentor sessions.
Time Availability: Ambassadors must dedicate 5-10 hours per month to working on their proposed project/campaign, including monthly check-ins with AMS staff and participation in monthly 30-minute Ambassador check-ins.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, including the ability to represent AMS in-person, at events, and online are essential. Has experience discussing adoption topics in public settings (e.g. tabling at an event, interpersonal communications, etc.)

Professional Development: Receive training and ongoing support from the AMS CFO on fundraising, social media, and marketing strategies.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis on the 7th of each month.
Once your application and reference form are submitted, our team will contact you within three business days to outline next steps.
Selected applicants will be invited to do a 15-minute phone screen and then a 60-minute Zoom interview with the CFO.
Final-round candidates will be required to complete a background check.
